The Petroleum Landman School is designed for:

Trainee or novice landmen with or without a college degree.
Those contemplating a career change from oil and gas to alternative energy.
Landmen with RL, RPL, or CPL certifications seeking continuing education credits.
In-house landmen who seek a better understanding of field landman activities.
Mineral owners seeking to understand the concept of leasing their mineral rights and protecting their mineral assets.
Those who are existing landmen who are looking to get into wind energy, right-of-way work, or becoming wind energy lease agents.


	As you can see from the website information we are in the process of expanding our schools to other parts of the country and to meet the needs of new emerging energy markets. The demand for field petroleum landmen and field landman training is always changing and adapting to meet new challenges and opportunities in the oil industry as well as emerging alternative energy such as—wind energy and solar energy along with associated right-of-way work for public utilities, telecommunication facilities, and oil and natural gas pipelines.

Due to this ever changing energy climate landmen are finding that their skills can be used in other areas, such as wind energy and wind energy right-of-way work and leasing.

Whether you are a trained landman or looking to enter these exciting fields of oil and gas, wind energy, solar energy, or becoming a right-of-way agent, the Petroleum Landman School's courses will help you to take full advantage of this new climate and future endeavors in our overall energy business.

The Petroleum Landman School is a true instructional environment, not merely a lecture or seminar. The new oil and gas courses of instruction will take attendees from the basics of performing title searches to understanding the oil & gas lease, all the way through performing due diligence.

The new Wind Energy courses will take the attendees from the basics of wind energy concepts to performing surface title, dealing with existing oil company’s leases and rights to drill, project maps, community projects, right-of-way work, aquiring easements and leases, and settling surface damages (including CRP programs) to being involved with community projects.

Each participant is encouraged to be proactive in the learning experience by asking as well as answering questions. Students will be provided a manual to keep as well as numerous forms and other presentation materials. The course will be a written exam which will help reinforce what has been learned.

Students in the Oil and Gas classes will also be presented the Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice established by the American Association of Professional Landmen (AAPL) which is essential for every landman.
