Many of our students over the years, upon graduation (some of which you can read in the testimonials) have successfully gone to work for oil & gas land companies performing tasks that range from running title to leasing, due diligence, creating run sheets, and held by production. In addition, other students have found jobs working as lease and/or land techs for various oil companies as in-house employees.

 
STARTING IN JANUARY, we will be offering ‘NIGHT’ and ‘WEEKEND’ classes along with our regular day classes to better help people who work that cannot make the day classes. The tuition for the NIGHT and WEEKEND classes will be slightly adjusted. The day classes will remain the same. Please check ‘CLASS SCHEDULES’ for class times and tuition. The classes being offered will be: • Basic Combined Oil and Gas Title and Leasing – 4 days – two weeks at night – two weekends. • Held By Production – 1 day course on weekends • Calculating Working Interest/Net Revenue Interest – 1 day course on weekends • Pitfalls/Implied Covenants of the Oil and Gas Lease – 3 days or 6 night classes • Title Curative – 2 days or 4 night classes The tuition for the night and weekend classes (except for the Held By Production and the Calculating Working Interest/Net Revenue – they will remain the same as now) will be $100 higher than the day schedule for the same courses.

Courses

Petroleum Landman School courses' are not seminars or a strict lecture format. Instead, they provide an interactive learning environment where students are introduced to the many aspects of the land management profession. We cover bot basic and advanced topics such as title research, well status reports, regulatory requirements, creating accurate reports, understanding the many clauses of the oil and gas lease, wind farm lease, easements/ right-of-way agreements, oil and gas working interest and net revenue calculations, title curative issues and documents, and much more. 

Few professions require more diversity of knowledge and skills and when considering the fact that no well is ever drilled, no wind tower, cellular tower, or pipeline is ever constructed without the services of a landman, the importance of the landman’s role cannot be overemphasized.

We have worked very hard to design comprehensive courses to fit the needs of our students and provide them with the vitals skills to survive in a competitive industry.

  • Basic Combined Course RL and RPL CE Credits 10.00
  • Ethics Credits (included above) 1.00
  • Oil and Gas Lease – Pitfalls and Implied Covenants RL, RPL, and CPL CE Credits 10.00
  • Title Curative – What You Should Know RL and RPL CE Credits 10.00
